The Summit Girls Varsity Soccer team suffered a tough 3-1 loss to Detroit Western International this evening. Senior Madison Altmann scored the teams lone goal on a penalty kick midway through the second half.

Despite the loss, it was the best Dragons showing of the season. Midfielders Hailey Rose (Fr.), Madison Altmann (Sr.) and Laura Jensen (Jr.) work hard on both ends of the field supporting both offensive and defensive efforts.

The Dragons defense of Chineyne Ndukwe, Jassah Price, Brooklyn Wagner and Chioma Ndukwe stood solid by limiting the oppositions opportunities. Jenna Cunnien also had 8 saves on the evening for the Dragons.

This was by far the teams most complete game of the season! The Dragons next test will be at the 1st ever Kestrel Invitational on Saturday at SMCC Monroe. Should be a great weekend for soccer!
