The team competed in their Regional meet today at Erie Metropark and
Jamal Jackson is going to States!!! He is the third runner in Summit history to make it to the Cross Country State Meet at MIS. Only the top 15 runners in each Division qualify. Jamal finished in 15th place with a new personal record time of 17:21. Last season Jamal sat out most of the season due to a stress fracture in his foot and then another fracture during track. The fact that he was able to have such a comeback this season is inspirational. He worked so hard to get to this point, and we couldn’t be more proud of him. He will compete at MIS On November 3rd! The rest of the team ran strong and didn’t disappoint. Our next two finishers were Scott Lange with 18:14 and D’Anthony Shaw in 18:22. Ryan Greene was next with his personal record time of 19:01! Eric Thompson ran 20:25, Chris Holman in 21:46, and Gabriel Lee 23:43.
