The Dragons Boys Varsity Bowling Team finished in 1st place in the 2019 UD/Mercy Bowling Tournament. The Dragons started slow and after 6 baker games were 133 pins behind the leader.

In the first team game, the Dragons bowled a 985 series and sat in 2nd place, 8 pins behind the leader, South Lyon East. Justin Peoples and Shawn Heard led the way with games of 234 and 218 respectively.

In the second team game, the Dragons bowled a 931 series and moved into 1st place, 5 pins ahead of South Lyon East. Once again Justin and Shawn led the team with games of 234 and 229.

In the final game, the Dragons elevated their team game and shot an impressive 991, beating South Lyon East by 90 pins to claim the spot as tournament champions. Every Dragon rolled 185 or higher, as Shawn Heard had the team high score of 223 for the game.

The Dragons placed three bowlers in the top 10 for individual series with James Kiester (550) in 9th place, Justin Peoples (658) in 2nd place and Shawn Heard (670) claiming 2nd. This is the 2nd straight tournament that the Dragons have entered that they have won.
