Game Recap

The Summit Academy Lady Dragons tied with The Western Cowgirls 2-2 at Northwestern High School, bringing their overall record to 4-3-2.

The Lady Dragons dominated the first half of the game with the first goal being scored by Bryanna Alcola who was assisted by Lai-Lani Lane. Lupe Cerda, Maria Ramirez, Seneca Manning, and Nicole Reynosa held strong in the midfield controlling the game. Around the 30 minute mark, a great pass made by Bryanna Alcola to Lai-Lani Lane who shot from the 20 yard line scored, taking the Dragons to a 2-0 lead at the half.

The 2nd half of the game was all defensive by the Dragons. The Cowgirls came on strong with their attacks, but the Dragons held strong against the Cowgirls fighting to tie the game with a final score of 2-2. Zaire Henderson, Kelly Andujar, and Natali Gonzalez were solid in the back and fought off many attempts by Western to take the lead.
